Just how safe is storage in the cloud?

Last month's T-Mobile's US Sidekick service, run by Microsoft subsidiary Danger, lost a significant amount of customer data, raising questions about the viability of the cloud for storage. At the recent Storage Expo show in London, ZDNet UK talked to two experts — Iron Mountain Digital technology vice president Steve Blumenau and Double-Take Software business development manager Peter Laudenslager — about the cloud and the twin issues of security and reliability.
