Staff could undermine gov't database security

Centralised access will make government databases vulnerable to inappropriate access, according to Merlin Hay, Earl of Erroll, who was speaking to ZDNet UK at the Infosecurity Europe 2009 event in London. Lord Erroll said databases such as the National Identity Register and the federated communications database will be vulnerable to misuse by staff.
